9,5 milliarder kastet bort i Afganistan

russiskkirke

Telegraph: The Catholic and Russian Orthodox Church have held high-level talks to lay the groundwork for a historic meeting of their two leaders after centuries of frostiness.

Relations between the Vatican and the Russian Orthodox Church have been tense for centuries, but in a sign that relations are finally thawing, Archbishop Ilarion, who heads the Russian Orthodox Church’s foreign relations department, said that both sides wanted a meeting, although he emphasised that problems remained.

Ilarion spoke of a rapprochement under Pope Benedict XVI that would allow for a meeting with the new Russian Orthodox Patriarch, Kiril, who took up his office in February after the death of the previous patriarch.

“There have been visits at a high level,” said Illarion. “We are moving towards the moment when it will become possible to prepare a meeting between the Pope and the Moscow patriarch.”

He added that in recent years there had been “noticeable improvements” in relations between the two churches.

“The progress in relations between the Russian Orthodox Church and the Catholic Church began after Benedict XVI became pope. He is…a person who does not aim to grow the Catholic Church in traditional Orthodox regions.”

Some observers had hinted a meeting between the two Church leaders was forthcoming, but many issues still stand in the way of bridging the split, which dates from 1054 when Patriarch of Constantinople was excommunicated from the Catholic Church.

The breach heralded the Great Schism that finally divided the Christian churches of East and West – which had long had political and theological differences, including the wording of the Nicene Creed – and led to the creation of the Eastern Orthodox Church and the Roman Catholic Church.

fn-flaggRev. Ted Pike

In a speech last week at the Anti-Defamation League’s 2009 annual meeting, UN Secretary-General Ban-Ki-moon assured ADL that the UN shares its ambition of international sanctions against nations which do not enforce laws against “intolerance.” (ADL is architect of hate crimes laws in nearly all nations of the western industrialized world.)

“We at the United Nations applaud…your strong stand against intolerance and extremism… your fight against racism, in general, and more particularly against anti-Semitism.

…hunger and economic hardship threaten social stability and have led to intolerance and xenophobia [suspicion of other peoples and cultures].

Such problems spill over borders. They therefore require global approaches – global solutions and global solidarity.

That is why, more and more, people are looking to the United Nations for answers…

Our Alliance of Civilizations is working to counter extremism.

This year, the General Assembly adopted another landmark resolution – this one aimed at preventing genocide and other grave crimes. I speak here of the Responsibility to Protect – the idea that sovereignty does not shield a government that cannot or will not protect its people.

Let us be clear: the world’s collective conscience has awakened …and I will do my utmost to ensure that there will be no sliding back…

In closing, let me remind you of an important event at UN Headquarters earlier this year in which the ADL played such a vital role.

This was our seminar on cyberhate—hate speech on the Internet—part of our campaign to “unlearn intolerance.”

…We are here to write a different story for future generations. Not one based on myths and caricatures, but one based on mutual understanding and respect.”

Ban-Ki-moon views ratification of the upcoming climate change treaty in Copenhagen as a necessary step towards strengthening international UN authority: “People want results. They look to the United Nations to bridge the gaps that trouble our world – the gaps between rich and poor… The gaps between those getting ahead and those left behind… At the UN conference in Copenhagen, six weeks from now, we must push for an agreement that all nations can embrace…”

Christian/conservative authorities and media are loudly warning against the US/Egypt proposal to empower UN condemnation of nations which do not pass federal hate crimes laws. There is also very wide concern over danger to US sovereignty posed by possible ratification of the climate change treaty this December. Lord Monckton’s warning against possible establishment of a nascent global government through international agreement at Copenhagen has received almost 2,000,000 viewings on YouTube.

What is not mentioned is the foundational role the Anti-Defamation League has been playing in the push for global governance and international hate crimes enforcement.

World governments are indeed awakening to the idea of a global confederation, eclipsing national sovereignty. But humanity at large remains oblivious to Jewish supremacism’s 2000-year history of intrigue, particularly through dominance of international finance, governments and media, insuring ADL and organized world Jewry will be in the driver’s seat of future one-world government. When this broad multiplicity of nations finally unites to fulfill the “dream” of global equality and justice, Jewish supremacism, having been its primary originator and facilitator is sure to come out on top.

Scripture says that the (Jewish) Anti-Christ “by peace shall destroy many” (Dan.8:25). This dream will turn into nightmare – bringing ruthless persecution to all who resist but especially to Judaism’s ancient rival, the followers of the One they crucified, Jesus Christ.

Meanwhile, evangelical leaders, if they mention ADL at all, do so only in flattery. Pastor John Hagee, whose worldwide televised broadcasts instruct 100 million Pentecostals weekly, boasts that he has received more support and awards from ADL/B’nai B’rith than any other evangelical leader.

Last week, Dr. Richard Land, (president of the Southern Baptist Convention’s Ethics & Religious Liberty Commission), apologized to ADL “for comparing proposed healthcare reform measures to “what the Nazis did” and for bestowing a Josef Mengele Award on the president’s chief healthcare advisor.”

According to ADL’s thinking, the healthcare bill’s intention to continue to murder possibly tens of millions of babies through taxpayer-funded abortions cannot begin to compare with the alleged murder of six million of “God’s chosen people.” So imbued are these Jewish racists with their Talmudically induced delusions of superiority over the lowly “goyim” that it is also considered highly inappropriate for Gentiles to compare the slaughter of over 100 million Gentiles as a result of Jewish communism to the genocide of six million Jews. (See, Jewish Activists Created Communism)

Several years ago, the Southern Baptist Convention (with 16 million members) was the victim of a months’ long ADL attack because it allowed its ministries to evangelize Jews. ADL is no stranger to Southern Baptist leaders. Dr. Land must surely know of ADL’s 35-year record of promoting homosexuality, gay marriage, abortion, and pornography. (ADL bestowed a prestigious free speech award on pornographers Hugh and Christie Hefner.)

Yet, ADL says Dr. Land “thanked the League for its efforts to combat anti-Semitism and bigotry in all forms. “Please continue to count on me as a loyal ally in that struggle,” he wrote.”

India i krig med Kina og Pakistan?

indisk-soldatExaminer: Tensions have flared between both China and India militaries along their disputed 2,175 mile-long border, with both sides alleging more frequent troop incursions in recent weeks. China is upset when the Indian prime minister recently visit the disputed region. China considers an Indian-occupied piece of it’s own Tibetan Autonomous Region, has added flames to the fire.

China of course already deeply resents the fact that the top Tibetan leader, and several hundred thousand exiled Tibetans, are allowed to reside in India.

India’s Maoist rebels are now present in 20 states and have evolved into a potent and lethal insurgency. In the last four years, the Maoists have killed more than 900 Indian security officers. Indian leaders are now preparing to deploy nearly 70,000 paramilitary officers to hunt down the guerrillas. The Maoists, however, do not want to secede or be absorbed. Their goal is to topple the system.

India’s rapid economic growth has made it an emerging global power but also deepened stark inequalities in society. Maoists accuse the government of trying to push tribal groups off their land to gain access to raw materials and have sabotaged roads, bridges and even an energy pipeline.

Islam-demonstrasjon i Storbritannia

Hinduistan Times: Piotr Stanczak did not exhibit the slightest hint of hesitation when the Pakistani Taliban asked him to choose between execution and conversion to Islam.

Whether the Polish geologist acted out of pride or religious conviction, he decided to pay through his blood to save his faith, a choice that bewildered his killers and keep them talking about him with respect after his murder.

Stanczak, 42, was kidnapped Sep 28 on his way to survey for oil exploration in Attock district, of Pakistan’s eastern province of Punjab. The kidnappers also killed his driver and two guards. Militants released a gruesome seven-minute video in early February showing his beheading. One of the murderers blamed the Pakistani government which failed to accept their demands for the release of detained militants.
